perl: warning: Setting locale failed.

If you are getting this annoying error on debian or proxmox or any other debian based linux distro:

perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
LANGUAGE = (unset),
LC_ALL = (unset),
LC_CTYPE = "en_IE.UTF-8",
LANG = "en_US.UTF-8"
    are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to a fallback locale ("en_US.UTF-8").

The fix is very simple.

me@server # locale-gen en_IE.UTF-8
Generating locales (this might take a while)...
  en_US.UTF-8... done
Generation complete.
me@server # dpkg-reconfigure locales

Select the locale and save

Generating locales (this might take a while)...
  en_IE.UTF-8... done
  en_US.UTF-8... done
Generation complete.

me@server #

And the issue should be resolved.
